Terms of Service

1. Scope of Service
Service includes professional mowing, edging, string trimming around obstacles (fences, trees, etc.), and blowing mowing debris off all hard surfaces (driveways, walkways, patios).

2. Seasonal Start
The season officially begins when the grass exits dormancy and active growth begins. While we monitor soil temperature via Greencast and weather trends via local weather forecasts to anticipate the "wake-up" of local turf, our official start date is determined by visible growth on the property.

3. Rain & Weather Delays
In the event of heavy rain or saturated ground, Rosewood Lawncare reserves the right to delay or skip service. This is a preventative measure to:
• Protect the Turf: Avoid unsightly rutting and prevent heavy equipment from becoming stuck in soft soil.
• Ensure Quality: Under certain weather circumstances, we may choose to skip or delay service if the grass is clumping excessively. This ensures we do not leave clumps on the lawn and can provide the crisp, professional finish you expect.

4. Large Objects & Property Care
For the safety of our crew and the protection of your property, we do not move large objects, including but not limited to:
• Trampolines and Playsets
• Large patio furniture
• Portable fire pits or heavy equipment

Our team will mow and trim as closely as possible around these items. We do this to ensure no accidental damage occurs to your property or our gear during the moving process.

5. Property Preparation
The Client agrees to ensure the following on the scheduled day of service:
• Access: Gates must be unlocked or a code provided.
• Small Obstacles & Debris: Please clear the lawn of toys, garden hoses, pet waste, trash, and any fallen debris (such as large sticks or litter). Rosewood Lawncare is not responsible for damage to items left in the grass, nor for damage caused by mowing over hidden debris. Rosewood Lawncare reserves the right to skip specific areas of the property if excessive pet waste or hazardous debris is present. No credits will be issued for skipped areas due to lack of property preparation.
• Pets: For the safety of our crew and your animals, pets must be secured indoors during service.

6. Payment Terms
• Billing: An invoice will be sent (or the card on file will be charged) immediately following each service.
• Terms: Payment is due upon receipt. To maintain your scheduled 7-day service window, accounts must be settled within 13 days. Failure to pay within this timeframe will result in an automatic service suspension.
• Resumption of Service & Overgrowth Fees: If service is suspended due to non-payment, the first visit after the account is settled will be subject to an 'Overgrowth Fee.' This fee (1.5x the standard rate) covers the additional labor and equipment wear required to restore the turf to a maintainable height.

7. Landscaping & Project-Based Work
For non-mowing services (including but not limited to mulching, planting, hedge trimming, and spring/fall cleanups), the following terms apply:
• Estimates & Deposits: All landscaping projects require a signed estimate. For projects exceeding $200, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure a date on our schedule and cover initial material costs.
• Material Variances: Rosewood Lawncare makes every effort to match mulch colors, stone types, or plant varieties to existing landscapes. However, due to natural variations in organic materials and nursery availability, exact matches cannot be guaranteed.
• Utility Marking (OUPS): For any projects requiring excavation or deep digging (such as post-hole digging or trenching), Rosewood Lawncare will contact 811 (Ohio Utilities Protection Service) to mark underground lines. The Client is responsible for identifying and marking private lines not covered by OUPS, including invisible pet fences, private irrigation, and low-voltage lighting.
• Plant Warranty: Newly installed plants or shrubs require consistent watering by the Client. Rosewood Lawncare is not responsible for plant loss due to extreme weather, "Acts of God," pests, or lack of proper irrigation once the installation is complete.

8. Cancellation
Either party may cancel this agreement at any time with 24 hours' notice prior to the next scheduled service.
